5 Tips On How To Be A Smart Shapewear Shopper

Have you ever been jealous of those scintillating curves that can be seen on T.V. celebrities like Kardashians? Well you’re not the only one. Almost every one of us wants those gorgeous curves that makes any outfit to fit as a dream.

But do you think that those celebrities did not have any assistance to help them get those curves? Well, of course they had. And do you know the best part, you can too! All you need to have is to get a nice pair of Shapewear and you’ll be good to go.

Now if you’re new here, then you may be confused because of the plethora of options available, but that’s where we come in. In this blog we’ll help you decide as to how you can select the best Shapewear available for you.

Well it’s not rocket science to be honest, just some really easy and simple tips to keep in mind before you set out to buy your first body shaper.

Size

Now then, you’ve finally decided that you’re going for a Shapewear, the first question that arises is how do you decide about the size which would be best for you?

Now there are three things which you can do- You can either make a calculated guess (highly unrecommended), you can measure yourself (the correct method) or you can buy the Shapewear of the same size of your clothes (again, not recommended, since the sizes may vary).

The major mistake that women make here, is they opt for sizes which are smaller for them, thinking the more everything is squeezed up, the better. But the truth is something quite opposite. We recommend our customers to buy one size up if they are unsure about their size.

Buying a smaller sized body shaper would just make the bulges pop out more which would give the impression of a larger body. Not to mention about how uncomfortable it would be for you.

The best option here or the more recommended one would be that you measure yourself first, and then refer to the size chart.

Area of Target

Another important aspect that can be considered is the area that you want to specifically target. Some of us may have extra fat and bulges all over the body, which we want to pay attention to. In such cases it’d be the best to go for full-body suits.

In some cases you may specifically want to target one particular area of your body, it may be your tummy, or your hips, or your thighs or all of them. In such cases it’s best to either opt for a Shapewear for tummy control or corsets that’d get the job done for you.

Whichever the case, it’s best to consider the area which you want to target and then buy a body shaper accordingly.

Compression Levels

The compression levels which you decide for your Shapewear should be directly in relation with the results that you want to achieve. Based on the compression levels, you have three options available- Low, Medium or High.

If you’re just planning to wear it for some special occasions for an entire day then the best shaper for you would be one with low or medium compression.

On the other hand if you go for Shapewears with high compression the results would be quite visible and effective. Again, it all boils down to your personal preference.

Fabric

We don’t need to spell this out for you, do we? The most important thing in any garment that you buy is the fabric of the material. The case here is no different.

If you mess this up and end up getting a Shapewear with irritating fabric, believe me, you would start dreading the meagre idea of using Shapewears again.

To avoid all this unnecessary hassles the perfect solution would be that you start checking out the fabric composition of the Shapewear. The most important aspect here is that the Shapewear which you have finally decided to go ahead with should be light and breathable.

Colour

With so many colours available one is bound to get confused about which Shapewear she should opt for. It is really a matter of personal preference but if you want to be on the safe side, you should probably stick to skin or some lighter colour variations so that you can easily slip them under your dress without them standing out and ruining your ensemble for the evening.

But hey, if you’re comfortable donning the brighter coloured Shapewears under your outfit, then go ahead. Just make sure you’re wearing a complementing colour with that so that your body shaper wouldn’t be standing out.

With these tips in mind we surely hope that your experience of buying a well-fitted Shapewear would be hassle free. If you have any more questions you can refer to our FAQ’s section or you can even message us and we’d be more than happy to assist you.
